Well I don't know how to read I guess! So my last post was my *blonde moment of the day*...but I will keep it because it is a good post!
Now onto the REAL topic:
"After all of the packages you’ve packed for your husband, wouldn’t it
be nice if someone mailed you a care package? What would be in it?
Today we’re asking you to write about your dream care package you would
love to receive in the mail for yourself – no expense spared, but it
has to fit in a flat rate box. (Sorry, you can’t fit your husband in a
flat rate box!
)"
Hmmm if could get a care package during deployment...what would I like?
Flowers - to remind me of the beauty in life. I'm one of those girls who loves deliveries of flowers...especially at random times! One of the sweetest gifts I ever received during our last deployment was when my brother sent me an order of flowers on Mother's Day. I was REALLY surprised and it meant the world to me. (okay I know that wouldn't fit in a flat-rate box!)
Coffee - to keep me awake during those long days AFTER long middle-of-the-night conversations with the hubby! What would be even better would be a gift card so I could go out and get coffee with a friend for a joint caffeine therapy session!
A coffee mug - I'm addicted to coffee mugs although my hubby things I already have too many!
Something personalized / Army wife themed - I love personalized gifts so especially at Christmas time an Army themed Christmas ornament or a photo ornament would be nice! It would be a reminder for years to come of a friend's kindness as well as the fact that God gave strength to get through yet another deployment.
Money - to spend on a Christmas gift for myself (I know...I'm greedy!) ooh and if we are saying "no expense spared" then money for a trip to visit loved ones would be the best!
Some cute movies - to help pass the time
Chocolate and other candy - like sour patch kids and skittles
Bath stuff and pajamas - I'm addicted to those too!
I'm not really sure what else I would want. Mostly, I would just want to be pampered and made to feel important and special. If I ever got a "care package" though I would be so blown away by the fact that someone cared enough...I probably wouldn't care what was in it!
