This post is somewhat out of order, but I realized it's something I meant to post a while back and never got around to it.

Living this military lifestyle definitely has it's challenges...it's hard! But it also gives our family some AMAZING opportunities and privileges that others do not have. One such opportunity was given to us by the organization called Operation Love Reunited.

Beach Vacation 2010

Over the past week we got to take our block leave (summer vacation). We drove down to where Russell's mom lives in North Carolina and spent a few days there visiting with the in-laws. They even threw us a baby shower!!!

Then we all packed up (again) and drove down to Oak Island where Russells' mom owns a house within a mile of the beach. We spent 5 days there just relaxing, watching TV, playing cards, and swimming in the ocean. It was so relaxing!!!!

Last night we got to drive up to Springfield, Ohio to see one of my bestest friends graduate from high school...again one of "those friends" who I met via the internet. This was our first time meeting "IRL" (in real life), after knowing each other for two long years in an online FRIENDSHIP!

Kurt met us there, as he also is a mutual friend, so it was great to spend some time with FAMILY!

Then of course we had to end the evening with some "mushiness."
I think our LOVE grows sweeter every day!

Me: I think I got to go puke (runs to the bathroom)

Russ: okay you go in there and I'll go get your hair band.

Me: (grabs a hair clip on the sink and leans over the toilet)

Russ: here's your hairband!

Me: I got this clip instead

Russ: but this one matches your sweatshirt! That way you can be pretty while you puke!

(At which point I burst out laughing!)

Me: Now I don't even feel like I gotta puke anymore!

Russ: See! I made you feel better!

One of the biggest problems I’ve had in my marriage is all the little fights I have with my husband...the little fights about the little things...the little things that an hour later you wondered why they were such a big deal in the first place.
