This past Wednesday I reached the 30 week mark of my pregnancy, which now means I'm 75% done!! Only 10 more weeks to go til my due date!

Baby Squirt just keeps growing and growing. Simple tasks are getting awkward and cumbersome, and sometimes even uncomfortable. I'm doing a lot of resting between chores just to keep my strength up.

I think that I'm finally adjusting to sleeping on my side, with the aid of 2-3 pillows! Unfortunately it seems that no matter what position I sleep in I end up wak...

One More Day

A year ago today I woke up with butterflies in my stomach and thoughts of anticipation...my husband was coming home from Afghanistan!!! Everything was clean and set up for his arrival...all I had to do was wait. We had spent close to a year apart (and I hadn't seen him for 9 months) and I was filled with excitement and a little anxiety not knowing how we would adjust to being back together again.

Baby Update - 28 weeks

It's been about 6 weeks since our last update so I figured I should share how our baby is doing. Nothing really has changed except that the baby is growing rapidly and developing quite a personality! Since my last appointment (5 weeks ago), I gained 15 pounds and 8 inches in my tummy! When my midwife told me that the baby enters a huge growth spurt at 28 weeks, my initial reaction was UH OH!!!! (How much bigger can it get right?!?!)

The baby is really learning to enjoy mommys tummy! Squirt now...

Beach Vacation 2010

Over the past week we got to take our block leave (summer vacation). We drove down to where Russell's mom lives in North Carolina and spent a few days there visiting with the in-laws. They even threw us a baby shower!!!

Then we all packed up (again) and drove down to Oak Island where Russells' mom owns a house within a mile of the beach. We spent 5 days there just relaxing, watching TV, playing cards, and swimming in the ocean. It was so relaxing!!!!




Out to dinner at a nice Italian restaurant
