baby update (9 weeks and 2 days)

How I'm feeling: Fairly well. Still very tired, but I seem to have more bouts of energy from time to time and am napping less. Still having slight nausea and cramping. Other things have set in like overall back pain, indigestion, discomfort, and sometimes the inability to fall asleep. HUNGRY ALL THE TIME!

Last night...

Russ was tickling me in bed and I told him not to. To which he replied: "I'm not tickling you! I'm tickling the baby! The baby isn't like you...it's like me and likes to be tickled!!"

This morning...

Russ: I hope we don't have a girl

Me: why?

Russ: cuz I only wanna have one pretty lady in my life! I don't want you to have any competition!

Me: I think I got to go puke (runs to the bathroom)

Russ: okay you go in there and I'll go get your hair band.

Me: (grabs a hair clip on the sink and leans over the toilet)

Russ: here's your hairband!

Me: I got this clip instead

Russ: but this one matches your sweatshirt! That way you can be pretty while you puke!

(At which point I burst out laughing!)

Me: Now I don't even feel like I gotta puke anymore!

Russ: See! I made you feel better!

A baked potato for my baby

I know that I already mentioned this on facebook, but I didn't feel like my status update was completely adequate in expressing how utterly thankful I am.

I have the best husband in the world...hands down.

So today, I had quite a bit of slight nausea, and simply nothing tasted good to me. I had a bagel at about 11:15, and a small can of mandarin oranges about 3:00. Not exactly the kind of diet I need to be having right now! So when Russ came home at about 4:30, I was famished and feeling fain...

Beanie Baby

So I'm 8 weeks today! Woohoo! At 8 weeks our baby is the size of a kidney bean...thus the title of this post. I have no intention of keeping up the alliteration but this one worked out. :)

So far the pregnancy, to me, seems pretty uneventful. I do have nausea but I'm only throwing up on a rare occasion. Threw up last night but that was the first time in over a week and a half. I think it's a blessing! :)
